Nassau, Bahamas - Carlietha Fox, an employee in the
Parcel Post (High Speed) department of the Main Post Office East Hill Street
received her award as Employee of the Year at the Bahamas Post Office ‘World
Post Day’ celebration, October 9, at SuperClubs Breezes.
A luncheon was held at Breezes to mark
the anniversary, attended by post office employees. The Hon. Hope Strachan, Minister of State in
the Ministry of Transport & Aviation (seen left) brought greetings.
World Post Day, celebrated on October
9, observes the anniversary of the establishment of the Universal Postal Union
in 1874 and creates awareness of the role of the postal service in everyday
