Nassau, The Bahamas – President of the Ridgeland Park Community Association and Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the National Neighbourhood Watch Council (NNWC) / South Central "We Are One" Campaign Shelly Lewis joins Christ the King Anglican Church member volunteers, council members and police liaison officers in producing as many as 1,000 meals for a National Thanksgiving luncheon, on November 26, 2020.  The volunteers were at the church, located Ridgeland Park West,  preparing meals for distribution throughout eight of the 11 districts in New Providence.  The Ministry of National Security’s National Neighborhood Watch Council (NNWC) had partnered with a number of churches, corporate sponsors and non-governmental agencies throughout the country to host the luncheon, with a goal of feeding more than 5,000 people, under the theme “Somebody Touch Somebody’s Hand, Helping People, Changing Lives”.  According to the Ministry, Thanksgiving meals were packaged and delivered directly to the homes of thousands of senior citizens, children, the sick and shut- in, in all 11 Districts of New Providence, and districts Eleuthera, Abaco, and Grand Bahama, by members of the Council, the Police Liaison Officers and Neighborhood Watch Officers.  (BIS Photos / Eric Rose)
