'Climate Change Affects Public Health'

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- "Climate Change impacts public health" was the central message Minister of Health, Dr. the Hon. Duane Sands conveyed at a Climate Change Exhibit at Mall at Marathon, August 20, 2018.  The exhibit, conducted by the Pan American Health Organization (PAHO)/World Health Organization (WHO) -- sought to increase awareness of climate change and its consequences to small island communities like The Bahamas which are impacted through social, infrastructural, environmental, ecological, and public health developments, among others, that call for mitigation and adaptation.  BEST Commission was also present at the exhibit.  (BIS Photos/Raymond A.
