Grand Bahama, The Bahamas -  Official groundbreaking for Coral Vita took place today in East Grand Bahama -- Coral Vita is a marine science company intending to grow corals locally, thereby replenishing the destroyed sea floor around The Bahamas, and also exporting around the world.  Coral Vita will also host touristic activities exploring the marine environment.

Minister of Agriculture and Marine Resources, the Hon. Michael Pintard was the keynote speaker: he made the potential connection of this project to the Bahamas Agriculture and Marine Science Institute (BAMSI), University of The Bahamas (UB), and the underwater film industry that can be promoted as an extension of this development.
