FREEPORT - Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works and Urban Development, the Hon. Philip Davis, was in Freeport Thursday for The Bahamas Society of Engineers Annual Northern Branch Workshop and Luncheon. While here, Mr. Davis visited the construction site of the $6 million Police Fire Station that sits on three acres of land, donated by the Grand Bahama Port Authority.

The station is being built by Patrick McDonald Construction and this 11,660-square-foot structure will be outfitted with all the modern amenities, such as a police dormitory, police training room, an operator's office, police locker room, exercise room, day room, dining room, and kitchen.

There will also be changing areas, showers and laundry room. Shown from left at the site are: Patrick McDonald of Patrick McDonald Contraction; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Works, the Hon.
