Dr. Sulayman Clark Appointed Consultant-in-Residence at University of The Bahamas

University of The Bahamas (UB) announces the appointment of Dr. Sulayman Clark as Consultant-in-Residence who will help plan and execute various fundraising activities.

Dr. Clark has over 25 years of experience as a senior level development officer with particular expertise in grant writing and major gift acquisitions. He comes to University of The Bahamas from Morehouse College in Atlanta, Georgia where he served as Chief Development Officer.

He previously served as Vice President for Development and Director of the $200 Million Campaign for Hampton University; Vice President for Development at Morehouse College; Vice President for University Advancement at Fisk University and Tuskegee University; Vice President for Development at Lincoln University (PA); Vice Chancellor for Institutional Advancement at North Carolina Central University and Vice President for Minority Programs at the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation.

As the Consultant-in-Residence, Dr. Clark will work closely with the Office of the President and the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs to identify, cultivate and solicit prospective major donors. In addition, he will collaborate with faculty in order to help formulate new fundable initiatives, garner support for programmes of distinction and enlarge the UB endowment to address the critical need for faculty chairs and student scholarships.
