FREEPORT, Grand Bahama --  Sixteen Enumerators and two Supervisors were sworn in, November 2, 2016 to carry out the Department of Statistics’ bi-annual Labor Force Survey during the month of November in Grand Bahama. Administrator Brenda Colebrooke performed the swearing-in ceremony.

She cautioned the field officers to take their oath of secrecy seriously and to perform their duties professionally, with due consideration and empathy, especially in the aftermath of Hurricane Matthew.

Enumerators with official identification cards from the Department of Statistics will visit selected households in New Providence, Grand Bahama, Abaco, Exuma, and Bimini and will be calling upon residents to complete the questionnaires honestly and accurately. The information obtained will be handled in the strictest confidence and will be used to obtain essential statistical data on the country.  (BIS Photo/Vandyke Hepburn)
