Gala in Grand Bahama to Honour Key Persons in Development of Social Services

FREEPORT, Grand Bahama -- In recognition of ‘Professional Social Work Month,’ the month of March, the Department of Social Services will hold a gala banquet on Saturday, March 28, during which persons who have been key in development of the department will be honoured – persons including: Elaine Sands, Beryl Laing-Bridgewater, Annie Jones-Charlton, Sheila Johnson-Smith, Lady Henrietta St. George, Terrance Roberts, Bernie Davis, Hadley Forbes, Jamie Sarles, Dorothy Lightbourne, Camille Bullard, Marva Russell-Minns, and Isadell Howell. Celebrations under the patronage of the Minister of Social Services and Community Development the Hon. Melanie Griffin will take place at Le Chateau on the Green, with music by the Police Pop Band and MC Will Stubbs.
