Government of Singapore Invites Applicants for Strategic Management of IT Course

The Government of the Republic of Singapore invites applications for the Chief Information Officers Training Programme on the Strategic Management of Information Technology, October 12-16, 2015 at the National University of Singapore.

The curriculum is conducted under the Singapore Cooperation Programme Training Award (SCPTA)/Small Island Developing States Technical Cooperation Programme (SIDSTEC).

The Government of Singapore would be pleased to consider one (1) suitable applicant from the Commonwealth of The Bahamas.

Under the SCPTA/SIDSTEC arrangement, the Government of Singapore will bear the cost of local accommodation and transfers, training fees, training allowance and group personal accident/hospitalization insurance. The round-trip airfare for participants must be borne by the applicant’s sending government.

The application must be completed in full and, after endorsed by the relevant Bahamas Government agency, submitted to the Government of the Republic of Singapore by Monday, August 31, 2015.

Successful applicants will be notified by Letter of Acceptance.

The course of study takes place at the Singapore e-Government Leadership Centre of the National University of Singapore. The objective of the course is to equip participants with roles and responsibilities of Chief Information Officers and provide exposure to the latest innovations from the largest global IT companies.

Participants will:

· Understand e-Government and its evolution

· Align processes in IT to achieve organizational goals

· Understand and apply concepts learned through workshop and case studies

· Plan and manage large, complex e-Government projects

Upon completion, participants will be equipped with an integrated and coherent approach to initiate, plan and manage IT projects for their respective countries in this new knowledge-based economy.

Application Information

Applicants should be:

· Public sector officials with at least 15 years of experience, with a minimum of 5 years in ICT management

· Nominated by their respective Governments

· Proficient in spoken and written English

· In good health
