Bahama Health Service & The Grand Bahama Aids Awareness Committee held their World AIDS Day
ceremony December 1 at the Pro-Cathedral of Christ the King in Freeport, Grand
Bahama. The World AIDS Day theme
is " Universal Access and Human Rights." World AIDS Day provides an
opportunity for individuals, communities and political leaders to take action
and ensure that human rights are protected and global targets for HIV/AIDS
prevention, treatment and care are met.
In his presentation Dr.Kalafo Collie, Senior House Officer at the Grand
Bahama Health and Grand Bahama AIDS Awareness Committee, gave a brief history
of the HIV/AIDS prevention and protection programme. Kyle Maycock, youth director of the Freeport Bible Church,
