Grants Town Post Office Closed Due to Severe Fire

NASSAU, The Bahamas -- The Acting Postmaster General wishes to inform the public that as a result of a fire that occurred in the early morning hours of Thursday, May 7, 2015, which completely destroyed a dilapidated building next to the Grants Town Post Office, the Post office roof and interior received severe fire and water damage.

The public is further advised that this Post Office will be closed for general service until further notice.

Patrons with Post Office Boxes at this site may continue to clear their boxes as of Monday, May 11, 2015.

The Postmaster General apologizes for the inconvenience caused by the disruption in service, and will keep the public informed.
