CANADA - The High Commissioner for the Commonwealth of The Bahamas to Canada, His Excellency Dr. Calsey W. Johnson J.P., had an audience August 15 with the Prime Minister of Canada, the Rt. Hon. Stephen Harper M.P.

The Prime Minister and Dr. Johnson talked about the bilateral relations between their two countries that have been in existence for many years.

Their topics of discussion also included how each country could be of assistance to the other, the warmth and friendliness of the people, the number of Bahamians and Bahamian students in Canada, and Canada’s institutions of learning and how Bahamians benefit from them.

The audience was brief but interesting and ended on a positive note with the Prime Minister assuring Excellency Johnson that his country will assist Bahamas as best as it can.
