Hurricane Season - Shelter Management Training in Hunter's, Grand Bahama

Hunter's, Grand Bahama, The Bahamas - The Ministry of Disaster Preparedness, Management and Reconstruction conducts Shelter Management Training at the Wheatley Grant Community Centre in Hunter's, Grand Bahama as the official June 1 to November 30 hurricane season emerges. The Ministry, which oversees the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) held a press conference, May 31, 2020 to announce the season's onset and need to be prepared for what could be a notably active year. Minister Iram Lewis in the press conference opening statement asked that communities rehearse evacuation procedures and have on hand requirements necessary for safety and for recovery from the impact of a storm.
