Nassau, Bahamas - Contending to be elected as the next International Maritime Authority (IMO) Secretary General, Korea’s candidate pays a courtesy call on Minister of the Environment, Earl Deveaux to present his intended leadership policies for the organisation.

On April 28,  Professor Chai Lee-Sik, right, Dean of Korea's University School of law, made a brief visit to The Bahamas and hoped to attract confidence with his leadership style to pilot the IMO’s critical global issues with a vote from The Bahamas.

Minister Deveaux expressed his concern for the democratic election of an aggressive candidate that understands and protects The Bahamas’ interests in reversing the effects of climate change and combating ocean pollution. (BIS Photo / Derek Smith).
