NASSAU,
The Bahamas -- Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Perry G. Christie welcomed Grand
Bahama entrepreneur, Ginger M. Moxey when she paid a courtesy call at the
Office of the Prime Minister on Monday, March 23.
During the visit, Ms. Moxey,
presented Mr. Christie with the first edition of her magazine 'Immerse,' which
is a compilation of articles highlighting average Bahamians making major
contributions in their communities. Ms. Moxey, former vice-president of the
Grand Bahama Port Authority, is a 41-year-old Grand Bahamian whose father was
killed when she was eight-years-old, and whose mother was illiterate. She
received a scholarship and eventually rose to top executive at the Grand Bahama
Port Authority (GBPA), where she had worked from the age of 12 as a summer
student. She left GBPA and is currently the President and CEO of Immerse
Bahamas Company Ltd., an organization that provides a vehicle for entrepreneurs
