Nassau, The Bahamas - Honorary Consul General for Italy to The Bahamas, Alberto G. Suighi presented Mrs. Pamela Armaly, principal, Yellow Elder Primary School, with a $5,000 cheque to be used by the school in aid of supplies the school needs. Mr. Suighi said the donation was made by the Italian Bahamian community and proceeds were derived from sales at the International Cultural Festival in October.

The Honourary Consul said over the past three years the Italian Bahamian community has made donations to needy causes or persons such as the Ranfurly Home for Children and Ragged Island after the hurricane. He said he learnt of the needs of schools when he worked as an architect when he first arrived in The Bahamas.

Mrs. Armaly said the goal of the school is similar to the goal of the church to reach the whole child in the best way possible.
