Labour Minister Commends Fowlco and Blue Parrot as team with focus on training

While on Grand Bahama on Wednesday, 7 February, 2018 the Minister of Labour & Training, Senator the Hon. Dion Foulkes met with representatives of Fowlco Ltd. and Blue Parrot.  Both companies are making "an impressive mark in the marine industry."
 
Minister Foulkes commended Curtis Fowler, Founder & CEO and Glennett Fowler, Managing Director of Fowlco Ltd. for their courageous competence and confidence to invest so heavily in the Grand Bahama economy at this time.

"It is encouraging and most exciting to see young and talented Bahamians like Curtis and Glennet venture into such a dynamic industry and they have brought the notable international expertise and experience of Blue Parrot under the Fowlco Ltd. corporate umbrella," said Minister Foulkes.
 
The Labour Minister added that "more than executing shipping, logistic and ship repair related services, the Government is pleased that Fowlco and Blue Parrot are committed to a major technical training programme to ensure more Bahamians become qualified to take advantage of the tremendous maritime career opportunities." 
 
"Fowlco and Blue Parrot have the full support of my Ministry and by extension, the Government of the Commonwealth of The Bahamas," Minister Foulkes commented.
 
According to Curtis and Glennett Fowler, they have positioned themselves to provide a service of excellence and are thrilled to be able to create employment and enhance career opportunities for Bahamians. They noted that they are keenly focused on training and that they value the world class expertise of Blue Parrot and are delighted and further motivated by Minister Foulkes' astute attention to details and the ongoing demonstrated support of his Ministry and the Government. 
 
Blue Parrot's Technical Advisor, Mr.  Alberto Gonzalez, in thanking Minister Foulkes and his team at the Department of Labour, stressed the importance of global relationships in a cutting edge industry. Mr. Gonzalez praised Fowlco for its vision, strong work ethics, and driven belief in The Bahamas and Bahamians. 

"We enjoy a great business relationship with Fowlco, we remain committed to going above and beyond to exceed the expectations of clients while positively impacting the Grand Bahama and wider Bahamas economy and we at Blue Parrot cannot say enough about the first class leadership and entire great team at the Grand Bahama Shipyard," said Gonzalez.
