Job creation and training opportunities for Bahamians topped the agenda of Labour Minister, Senator, the Honourable Dion A. Foulkes as he recently met with officials of Carnival Cruise Lines in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Minister Foulkes said that the Government is committed to providing training and creating job opportunities for Bahamians on board cruise lines which come to The Bahamas.

Presently there are more than 50 Bahamians working aboard the Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines and the Ministries of Labour, Transport and Tourism are in talks with Carnival Corporation to begin the recruitment, training and employment of hundreds of Bahamian job seekers on their Cruise Lines.
