The Minister of Labour, Senator the Honourable Dion A. Foulkes is pledging the Government’s commitment to do all in its power to create more rewarding job opportunities for persons interested in working in the cruise ship and maritime sectors.

This comes just days after Minister Foulkes and the Honourable Renward Wells, Minister of Transport and Local Government led a delegation that visited Carnival Corporation’s Center for Simulator Maritime Training (CSMART) facilities in Almere, The Netherlands.

Minister Foulkes along with key officials held a follow up meeting at the LJM Maritime Academy (LJMMA) on Thursday, September 6, 2018 to discuss the way forward. Also in attendance were Permanent Secretary (Acting) in the Ministry of Labour, Ms. Cecilia Strachan and Mr. Robert Farquharson, Executive Manager in the Ministry of Labour.
