Nassau, The Bahamas - Foreign Service Officer (FSO) Shagerra Edgecombe offered a prayer during her recent induction exercise at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Foreign Service Institute asking for herself and other FSOs to serve with "humility and excellence." It was a powerful thought -- one that captured the imagination of Foreign Affairs Minister Darren Henfield.
Minister Henfield congratulated Ms. Edgecombe for her important focus. In briefing a general meeting of the Foreign Affairs Ministry, the Minister said "Humility and excellence are the cornerstones of good character and work ethic and should serve as an inspiration for us all at Foreign Affairs."
