Minister Henfield Congratulates Graduating LJM Maritime Academy Cadets

NASSAU, The Bahamas - The Hon. Darren Henfield, Minister of Foreign Affairs, representing Dr. the Most Hon. Hubert Minnis, Prime Minister, gave the Keynote Address during the LJM Maritime Academy Inaugural Graduation Ceremony, October 18, 2018 in the Ballroom of Melia Nassau Beach resort.  Graduating were cadets of Cohorts 2014 and 2017.  Also offering congratulations were President of LJM Maritime Academy Dr. Brendamae Cleare, and Founder H.E. Lowell J. Mortimer, who gave remarks.  The 'Charge to Graduates' was from Vice-President of Nautical Operations, Carnival Cruise Lines, Captain Gaetano Gigliotti, pictured seated at left near podium.  LJM Maritime Academy offers tertiary level education for maritime and allied industries.  Based at Maritime Cay, New Providence, the academy provides state-of-the-art training to produce qualified seafarers for a vibrant maritime sector.  (BIS Photos/Patrick Hanna)
