Minister Henfield Receives Copy of Letter of Appointment from Dr. Eldonna Boisson, PAHO/WHO Representative

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs wishes to advise the public that on 28th June 2021, the Minister of Foreign Affairs, the Hon. Darren A. Henfield MP, received the letter of appointment for Dr. Eldonna Boisson to serve as the Pan American Health Organization/ World Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) Representative.

In a brief meeting held after the presentation, The Minister expressed his appreciation to the PAHO/WHO for the humanitarian assistance provided to The Bahamas following the devastation caused by Hurricane Dorian, as well as support to fight the COVID-19 pandemic.

Both sides agreed to continue collaboration in health issues, especially to ensure equitable access of the Covid-19 vaccine for the citizens of The Bahamas and to maintain cordial relations with one another.
