Minister Pintard Opens Annual Pancho Rahming Primary School Track & Field Championship

NASSAU, The Bahamas - Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture the Hon. Michael Pintard brought the official remarks at the opening of the 34th Annual Frank “Pancho” Rahming Primary School Track and Field Championship, on Wednesday, May 23, 2018, at the original Thomas A. Robinson Track and Field Stadium.  Among those taking part in the opening for the national meet were Director of Sports Timothy Munnings, Meet Director Mike Sands, Bahamas Association of Certified Officials (BACO) member Renee Davis, the Royal Bahamas Defence Force Band and various students.  A real crowd pleaser was little David Cox of Eva Hilton Primary School, who gave such an exciting performance of Bahamian music that those in attendance requested an encore.  Over 1,200 athletes from about 59 primary schools throughout The Bahamas are expected to compete at the Meet until Friday, May  25th.  (BIS Photos/Eric Rose)
