Nassau, The Bahamas - State Minister with responsibility for the National Insurance Board, the Hon. Myles Laroda paid a visit to NIB headquarters on Blue Hill Road for formal introductions and to conduct a walkabout of the premises. State Minister Laroda commenced the visit with a brief meeting with executives at NIB. Following the meeting, Mr. Laroda met briefly with members of the media where he discussed some of the issues raised with the executives at NIB, including continuation of the social assistance programme implemented by the former administration to assist those impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.  Modernization and digitization of NIB, among other issues, were also discussed.  He also said that a new board is expected to be established in the upcoming days.
