Nassau, The Bahamas - The Ministry of Foreign Affairs is following the news about the airplane crash in Cuba, where it was reported that some 100 persons have died and three have survived.  Contact has been made with The Bahamas Embassy in Havana and there are no known Bahamian casualties.  If this changes the Ministry will advise the general public as soon as possible.  Our thoughts and prayers are with all who have been impacted by this tragic event. The Ministry has been in contact with the Cuban Ambassador to whom a Diplomatic Note will be sent.
