NEMA: Meeting scheduled for Long Island - Wire and Cable Caution

NEMA has issued the following notices:

MEETING:  ALL Heads of Departments, Members of the Disaster Consultative Committee, Local Government Practitioners, Community Leaders and persons involved in the organization and distribution of relief supplies are asked to meet at the Deadman's Cay Health Care Centre on Saturday, October 10, at 10:30 a.m.

ADVISORY:  Local Government officials are asking persons operating heavy equipment to do so with extreme care and attention to prevent the tearing down of wires and cables while the utility companies attempt to rewire in order to restore power to the Hurricane Joaquin impacted areas.
