NASSAU, The Bahamas – The Economic and Planning Unit of the National Development Plan Secretariat, developers of ‘VISION2040 Bahamas’, met with a number of non-governmental groups that advocate for persons with disabilities on Wednesday, May 11, in order to incorporate the concerns of persons with disabilities into the National Development Plan.  This was the second such meeting held to ensure those concerns are factored in.  The first meeting was held at the Office of the Prime Minister; this meeting was held at the Ministry of Social Services & Community Development.

Pictured is Denise Hinds-Jordan (standing) of the National Development Plan Secretariat conducting the session.  Present were other members of the National Development Plan Secretariat, the National Commission for Persons with Disabilities, and Leila Greene and Glen Major of the emerging Gladstone Road Multi-Service Centre for Adults with Developmental Disabilities.  (BIS Photos/Raymond A.
