National Heroes Day Holiday opening of shops notice

The Cabinet Office wishes to advise the general public that Monday, October 9, 2017 will be observed as National Heroes Day. As a result, stores wishing to do so may open for business on this holiday during normal business hours.
Further, employers are to note that employees who are normally not required to work on holidays and do so on National Heroes Day must be paid wages in accordance with section 10 (a) of the Employment Act.
