Navy Ship USS McInerney Calls on Freeport Harbour

The crew of the the Navy ship USS MCINERNEY from Mayport, Florida, traveled to Freeport to participate in two community relations projects on Friday, November 21. Captain, Commander Keith Wheeler made presentations to the Department of Social Services, the Grand Bahama Red Cross and Local Government. Assistant Director of the Department of Social Services Lillian Quant Forbes is pictured receiving a presentation. The donations included hygiene and first aid products as well as recreation equipment. The donation was made possible through Project Handclasp. Project Handclasp accepts and transports educational, humanitarian and goodwill material overseas via space available on U.S. Navy Ships. (BIS Photo/Vandyke Hepburn)
