Nightclub murder suspect to be arraigned on Monday - Correction officer to appear in court on drug charges

SUSPECT IN NIGHTCLUB MURDER & ATTEMPTED MURDER SET TO BE ARRAIGNED ON MONDAY

Nassau, Bahamas - Police are pleased to announce that Detectives from the Central Detective Unit have charged an Adult Male, with the murder of a man and the attempted murder of a woman that occurred at a nightclub at Prince George Wharf on Sunday 4th September 2016. The suspect is schedule to be arraigned in court at 11:00am, on Monday 26th September 2016, to be formally charged.


DEPARTMENT OF CORRECTIONS OFFICER TO APPEAR IN COURT ON DRUG CHARGES

A male Correction officer from the Bahamas Department of Corrections will appear in court at 11:00am on Monday 26th September 2016, to be formally charged with possession of dangerous drugs.

The officer was arrested on Friday 23rd September 2016, after officers from the Bahamas Department of Corrections found a quantity of marijuana in his possession during a routine search at the prison. The police was notified and the officer was handed over to officers from the Drug Enforcement Unit, who took him into custody.
