FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – The Northern Region Public Service Month Planning Committee on Tuesday announced its Fourth Public Service Administrative Professionals Awards luncheon under the theme, ‘Public Service Administrative Assistants and Managers - Professionals Who Ignite Change’ to be held April 22 at Le Chateau On The Green.

The event will be held under the patronage of the Minister of Labour, National Insurance and the Public Service, the Hon. D. Shane Gibson. On this occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the International Administrative Professionals Day, the event will highlight clerical, secretarial and administrative assistants who are recognized by their colleagues, and managers for their professionalism in management and leadership skills.

Twelve nominees are vying for the title: eight administrative assistants and four managers who are from Immigration, Ministry of Social Services, Office of the Attorney General, Department of Housing (Abaco), and Grand Bahama Health Services/Public Hospitals Authority.

It promises to be an afternoon of pomp and pageantry in honour of Administrative Professionals throughout Grand Bahama Island and Abaco. The Grand Bahama Police Pop Band will provide entertainment.
