Ingraham to Attend State Funeral for the Hon. David Thompson
The Cabinet
Office advised today that Prime Minister Hubert Ingraham, who will complete
a visit to the People’s Republic of China on 1 November, will travel
to Barbados on 2nd November to join other Caribbean Heads
of Governments at the state funeral for the former Barbadian Prime Minister,
the Honourable David Thompson on 3rd November in Bridgetown.
Prime Minister
Ingraham said that the untimely passing of Prime Minister Thompson is
a tremendous loss to the region. He recalled David Thompson as
a firm believer in the Caribbean Community. He said that Prime Minister
Thompson’s dedication to his country and to the region will be his
legacy.

Ingraham will be accompanied to Barbados by the Hon. Alvin Smith, Speaker
of the House of Assembly.
