NASSAU, The Bahamas – Getting Ready for the Road….  Prime Minister the Rt. Hon. Perry Christie toured Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival Road Fever Companies on Monday, May 2, as they made last minute preparations for Bahamas Junkanoo Carnival’s ‘Road Fever’ street parade extravaganza scheduled for Saturday, May 7, 2016 – the final day of the three-day fest.

Some 26 groups are registered, more than there were in 2015.  To participate interested revelers choose a band, select a costume and package (to include costume, entertainment, food and beverage, hospitality), and meet on the road.

Pictures show tours by the Prime Minister, as well as Minister of Youth, Sports and Culture Dr. Daniel Johnson, Major Sponsor BTC Chief Executive Officer Leon Williams, and Bahamas National Festival Commission (BFNC) executives Patricia Mortimer, Robert Sands, Roscoe Dames, and Noelle Nicolls.
