The Office of the Prime Minister is aware of a voice note circulating on social media that contains false claims that the Prime Minister intends to announce a country-wide 30-day shutdown on Monday.

These claims are completely false and should be ignored.

This voice note could lead to panic and a run on stores that can harm efforts to contain the COVID-19 virus.

This matter has been turned over to the Commissioner of Police for further investigation.

The Prime Minister wishes to once again plead with individuals to refrain from putting out and spreading such false and potentially harmful information.
