The Bahamas – The Royal Bahamas Defence Force held its 37th Annual
Church Service on Sunday, March 26, at the Church of God of Prophecy, East
Street Tabernacle. Governor General Her
Excellency Dame Marguerite Pindling (pictured left) attended, heading a list of
officials participating in the service led by Senior Pastor, Bishop Hulan
Hanna. Minister of National Security,
the Hon. Dr. Bernard Nottage (seated centre right, and also at podium) remarked at the commendable strides
of the Defence Force in ongoing recruitment, education and training; deterrence
of poaching by Dominican fishermen; benefits of Sandy Bottom Project expansion
which has significantly increased the Defence Force’s capabilities in protecting
the country and stemming the tide of illegal migration; its pivotal role in
disaster relief in the archipelago; and its expanding and beneficial role in
helping to shape the next generation through the work of the Royal Bahamas Defence
Force Rangers programme. Also
