Nassau, New Providence - Bahamas government remembered those fallen in the war at a Remembrance Day Mass at Christ Church Cathedral on Sunday, November 9th. The Services culminated with ceremonies at the Cenotaph in the Garden of Remembrance on Sunday morning, attended by branches of the Ministry of National Security, many youth and civic organizations, diplomatic representatives, local spectators, and visitors to the island.

At this ceremony, Remembrance Day programmes were handed out, so the entire gathering could join in the opening hymn, “Great is Thy Faithfulness.”

A touching military drill proceeded after the hymn, and then the laying of wreaths by the Governor General, Bahamian officials, and diplomatic mission representatives.

Pictured are some of the highlights, from the march proceeding from Christ Church Cathedral to the Cenotaph. (BIS Photos/Patrick Hanna)
