PUBLIC NOTICE – NASSAU STREET

The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix, has scheduled milling and paving works for Nassau Street.

The Road Work is scheduled to be carried out beginning Wednesday, December 11th, 2019, through Friday, December 13th, 2019, from 9:00am to 2:30pm.

The works will incorporate the section of the roadway between Poinciana Drive and Boyd Road, which will be carried out in two phases. There will be Half Road closures implemented for the two phases for the duration of the Works.

In the first phase, All South bound traffic will remain on Nassau Street, while all North Bound traffic will be diverted onto Pitt Road then onto Boyd road which will allow the motorist to reconnect to Nassau Street.

In the Second Phase, both the North and South Bound traffic will remain on Nassau Street.

You are asked to be aware of and acknowledge the posted traffic paving signs in the area. If you have any queries or concerns, please contact us at telephone numbers (242) 361-3886 or (242) 341-3886.

PUBLIC NOTICE – INDEPENDENCE/BAILLOU/TWD ROUNDABOUT

The Ministry of Public Works/Bahamix, has scheduled milling and paving works for the Round About at the Junction of Games Boulevard /Tonique Williams Darling Highway.

The Road Work is scheduled to be carried out on Wednesday, December 11th, 2019, through Friday, December 13th, 2019, from 8:00pm to 2:30am.

The works will only incorporate the circular section of the road, but there will be full road closures implemented for all arteries leading to the Roundabout for the duration of the works.

All West bound traffic from Independence Drive will be detoured onto Baillou Road, and then onto Celery Drive, and finally onto Turnquest Avenue in order to connect to Tonique Williams Darling Highway.

All traffic heading North on Baillou Hill Road will be detoured on to Celery Drive and on to Turnquest Avenue in order to connect to Tonique Williams Darling Highway.

All East bound traffic from Tonique Williams Darling Highway

will be detoured on to Bethel Avenue, then onto Turnquest Avenue and onto Celery Drive in order to connect with Baillou Hill Road. The detour will continue onto Coconut Grove Avenue and follow Market Street and directed to Robinson Road.

Residence from Blue Hills Estates and Prides Estates will be directed along the West Bound Land of the TWD Carriage Way and will be allowed to enter the TWD/Baillou Hills/Independence Round About.
