Nassau, The Bahamas – During a week filled with activities highlighting Maritime Week, former Sandilands Primary School student, Captain Dwain Hutchinson attended a special assembly in his honour.

In attendance for the occasion, was Minister of Transport and Local Government, the Hon. Frankie Campbell, who told the students that the Captain was an example of a person who had achieved international success but whose beginnings were very humble.

“Captain Hutchinson came from this same school community and has enjoyed worldwide success,” said Minster Campbell. “I came here today to tell you that you, too, can become rich and famous like him one day in the maritime industry as many opportunities are available for you in this field.”

Mr. Campbell said that Maritime Week was held to highlight the variety of career opportunities available in the industry, many of which some may not have considered before.
