Bahamas to appear before UN CEDAW Committee

GENEVA, Switzerland - The Bahamas will appear before the Committee of the UN Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination Against Women (CEDAW) on Thursday, October 25, 2018 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. and 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. Geneva time; or 4 a.m. to 7 a.m. and 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. local time.

The Bahamas' delegation is headed by the Hon. Frankie Campbell, Minister of Social Services and Urban Development.  He is accompanied by Dr. Jacinta Higgs, Director of Gender & Family Affairs; Jewel Smith of the Office of the Attorney General; and other technical persons in the areas of Health and Employment.

The session will be recorded and archived to be viewed at any time.
