Scores take part in National Sports Heritage Month's Fun Run

Nassau, The Bahamas - Scores of participants gathered at Goodman's Bay, in the early morning of November 30, 2019, for the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture National Sports Heritage Month's Fun Run, Walk and Relay.  Minister the Hon. Lanisha Rolle, Under Secretary Montez Williams, and other Ministry staff members joined a lively group of myriad participants in taking part in the Cable Beach route, that looped at Starbucks for the walkers and Super Value for runners.  Among those present or participating included Senator the Hon. Jamal Moss; Executive Director of Culture Rowena Poitier Sutherland; Director of Sports Timothy Munnings; Bahamas Association of Athletic Associations (BAAA) President Drumeco Archer; 1996 and 2000 Olympian Carl Oliver; 1968 Olympian and former Member of Parliament Leslie Miller; Streets Legends President Wilton Russell, Jr.; 2019 Sports honourees and Hall of Fame members; and children and adult running organizations.  (BIS Photos / Eric Rose)
