Nassau, Bahamas - Two funerals were held on the weekend for two of the four people killed in Fox Hill on 27th December.  The funerals passed without incident, were peaceful and the  community showed its strong support for the families. I wish to thank the Bahamian community at large, the people of the Fox Hill community, the clergy in Fox Hill and the institutions of the government for their support at this trying time in the Village.  I again extend condolences to the families and pledge support to the families of  Clauadzino Davis, Shaquille Demeritte Kelly, who were buried on the weekend.

I pledge continued support to their families and to the families of the other two victims Shanique Sands and Eric Morrisson who will be buried in the coming weeks.

It is important that the eyes and ears of the nation continue to be upon Fox Hill as it struggles to cope and to recover from this awful tragedy.  A memorial is to be erected in Fox Hill to the four people at an appropriate time.
