NASSAU, The Bahamas -- Reading, writing, arithmetic, and research are the basic goals of the students at Stephen Dillet Primary, and the contribution of computers to establish their new computer lab on the top floor of Stephen Dillett Primary will help achieve those goals. Director of Education Lionel K. Sands on Thursday, March 26, thanked Inner Circle of Rotary Club of East Nassau and the Members of Rotary Club of Nassau for contribution of the computers.

Mr. Sands noted that such support over the years by the service organization has contributed to sound academic results of students of Stephen Dillet Primary, leading into and showing up in subsequent results at T.A. Thompson Junior High School.

He conveyed thanks and appreciation on behalf of Minister of Education the Hon. Jerome Fitzgerald, and announced new educational programs to be aired on ZNS that he hoped will include the opening of the new computer lab.

Mr. Sands declared the computer lab officially open with the words, “if we are looking at a better world down the road, then it has to begin with assistance in the help that we give our children today. They are our future, but also the present.”
