NASSAU, THE BAHAMAS – October 19th, 2016 – The Pointe – through its parent company China Construction America (CCA) – furnished a $100,000 donation for the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA).

The donation will help ongoing relief efforts in light of the recent passing of Hurricane Matthew, the storm which caused hundreds of thousands of dollars in damage.

At the recent formal opening of phase one of the $250 million development, Chairman of China Construction America (CCA) Ning Yuan said, the donation is a show of the company’s solidarity with the people of The Bahamas.

“We watched with much concern as the storm made its way through the Bahamas. We were very relieved and happy that there was no loss of life,” Mr. Yuan said.

“On behalf of my company I want to extend my sympathies to the people of the Bahamas that have been impacted at any level as a result of the devastation. We will stand with you during this time and demonstrate good stewardship through a $100,000 donation to the ongoing relief efforts.”

Mr. Yuan noted that    while the company’s reach extends far and wide, with many other investments in other parts of the world, The Bahamas remains special to CCA.

NEMA Director Captain Stephen Russell and members of the National Disaster Recovery Unit accepted the check.
