US Chargé d’Affaires pays Courtesy Call on CDF

Coral Harbour Base, 18 APR. ‘18 (RBDF): Ms. Stephanie Bowers, US Chargé d’Affaires at the United States Embassy in Nassau paid a courtesy call on Commander Defence Force, Commodore Tellis Bethel, on Thursday past.

A career Foreign Exchange Officer, Ms. Bowers has held numerous postings in public service throughout the Western Hemisphere. Her career has included appointments in Washington, DC, South America, Madrid, Durban and Baghdad.

At the Defence Force Headquarters, Ms. Bowers was welcomed by Commodore Bethel and was introduced to the Defence Force’s Executive team. Both parties discussed matters of mutual interest and expressed their commitment towards promoting peace and security within the region.

A distinguished graduate of the National War College and an avid SCUBA diver, Mrs. Bowers was taken on a tour of Coral Harbour Base, as well as aboard one of the Defence Force's Legendary Class patrol craft, HMBS Livingstone Smith.

The Royal Bahamas Defence Force continues to protect and preserve the territorial integrity of The Bahamas.
