Urban Renewal's Grand Bahama & Bimini Back to School Giveaway 2018 ensured children from all six Urban Renewal Centres received school backpacks, books, pencils, pens, sharpeners, rulers along with a hearty lunch, and were prepared over this weekend to face the new school year.  Special prizes were electronic tablets, uniform vouchers, text book vouchers, and hair styling/cutting vouchers.

Minister of Social Services & Urban Development, the Hon. Frankie Campbell  encouraged the children to study, read and pay attention in this new term. Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance, the Hon. K. Peter Turnquest admonished the children to do their best and take advantage of the tablets, tools and resources provided.

Other Members of Parliament also participated in the event.   (Photos/Courtesy Urban Renewal)
