Nassau, The Bahamas - As the E. Clement Bethel National Arts Festival New Providence adjudications started at the Dundas Centre for the Performing Arts, on March 11, 2019, wind instruments hit the musical scene first, as St. Andrew's International School students Erin Pritchard and Georgia Saddleton performed on the recorder for Adjudicator Louis Adams.  From C. R. Walker Senior High School, Deangelo Newton played the trombone, while Alex Brown performed a rousing classical piece on the tuba.  Over the next two weeks, over 1100 entrants in New Providence are expected to take part in dance, drama, voice, playing musical instruments and the arts and craft.  The Dundas Centre is the venue for dance, musical instruments and drama, while the Holy Trinity Church Activities Centre, in Stapledon Gardens, is the venue for vocal performances.  All events are free and open to the public.  (BIS Photos/Eric Rose)
