FREEPORT, Grand Bahama – Senior officials of the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture converged on  Grand Bahama island, March 29 to view the facilities there.  Hosted by the Minister, the Hon. Iram Lewis, the group started their tour at the Grand Bahama Sports Complex where they inspected the track and field and related facilities, as well as the softball area; they also visited the recently renovated park at the Royal Oasis, and took the opportunity to speak with sculptor Brian Maycock.

Before the tour at the Sports Complex, Minister Lewis said he was pleased to host the group so that they would all be well versed on what was needed on the island when they are having their discussions at the table.

Those in attendance included: Eugene Poitier, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture; Timothy Munnings, Director of Sports; Sandena Neely, Officer in charge of Youth; Rowena  Poitier-‐Sutherland, Executive Director of Culture; and Amanda Coulson, Director of the National Art Gallery of The Bahamas (NAGB). They were met by their Grand Bahama officers, led by Denise Wilson, along with Monique Leary and Carla Brown-‐Roker as well as some of the local coaches.
