Bahamas represented at ParlAmericas conference

Citizens for a Better Bahamas Chairman Lemarque Campbell recently attended the ParlAmericas conference that was held in San Jose, Costa Rica from March 16th to 18th, 2017. Parliamentarians and civil society representatives, from 25 countries within the Latin America and Caribbean region, attended the conference to discuss ways to strengthen the ties between citizens and legislatures. Mr. Campbell was invited to present on the importance of a Freedom of Information Act and governance issues affecting the Bahamas.

Mr. Campbell commented, "Our work continues until we see a strong Freedom of Information Act, not only passed, but actually enacted and implemented in the Bahamas."
