The 27th Annual Caribbean Days Multicultural Street Parade & Food Festival, Vancouver, Canada

On July 26th, 2014 are the two days of the year when the North shores of Vancouver is transformed into a showcase of the Carnival in the Caribbean. At 10:00am on July 26th the festivities begin with one of the most amazing experiences of your life. The Multicultural Street Parade sets the tone of the event with participants from communities around the lower mainland and other provinces. It is an unbelievable spectacle.

The streets come alive with a multitude of costumes, revelers and floats surrounded by the rhythms of Soca, Reggae, Calypso, Latin and African music mixed in with singers, dancers and cultural performers.

The parade begins at Lonsdale and 12th Avenue partying down Lonsdale to Esplanade, turning west and arriving at the Waterfront Park around 11:30am. The multicultural street parade is a magnificent way to appreciate the mosaic of cultures in British Columbia.

After the parade the whirlwind of fun continues until 7:00pm, Sunday, July 27th. It is a full weekend of tropical rhythms and cuisine, international food court, craft market and a nonstop party.

The approximately 50,000 (fifty thousand) people in attendance can expect a tremendous amount of colourful outfits, fashionable ladies, mouth-watering food and a buffet of music.

There is nothing like the fever of Carnival on the North Shore of Vancouver, the exuberant fun-lovers, the dining, the dance, the majestic ocean, the breathtaking skyline and sunshine.
