Leader in energy infrastructure New Fortress Energy has signed on as a sponsor of Jamaica's premier business event the Jamaican Investment Forum, which will be held on June 12-14, 2018 in Montego Bay, Jamaica.  The company signed on as a headline sponsor in support of their goals to support the transformation of Jamaica's energy sector.

Verona Carter, VP of Public Affairs at New Fortress Energy said,  "We are very proud to be playing a role in this huge transition and energy reform taking place to transform Jamaica’s energy landscape. We envision Jamaica becoming a regional hub for natural gas, and a global clean energy model. It is an exciting time for Jamaica with both the private and public sectors advancing the national agenda, which will further attract substantial investment opportunities for the country. We are thrilled to be a change agent sharing this milestone with the Jamaican people."

JAMPRO's President Diane Edwards said she was thrilled that the company had signed on to be a JIF sponsor, stating that the Agency will highlight Energy as a key sector to promote for investment at the event. Ms Edwards said, "Without a strong and diverse energy sector, Jamaica will not be able to fully realise its development potential. JAMPRO is pleased that New Fortress Energy, a company that is currently investing in Jamaica with projects in Old Harbour and at JAMALCO, has now signed on to support our aim to attract more investments to Jamaica. We look forward to collaborating with them to further improve Jamaica's energy sector."
